Exit Rules (Tom Sosnoff Method)
Take profit: Close when you can buy it back at 50% of credit received — locking in half your max gain early.
Time stop: Close at 21 DTE regardless — gamma risk increases and theta slows after this point.
Stop loss: Close if the spread is worth 2x what you collected — cut the loss before it compounds.
Why these rules? Iron condors profit from time decay. Closing early at 50% captures most of the gain while eliminating the risk of a late move blowing through your strikes.
